Kevin O’Brien MPX Price …Going Up! Word at SHOT was that the MPX versions that are shipping — pistol, carbine, and SBR — are selling well, but that the company was planning to raise prices by $300 a unit, and to delete the accessories that used to come with one: QD sling, cleaning kit, etc. The backup iron sights are …
This is the one Sunday post this week; call it the 9 AM post, or maybe the 10 AM post. That’s what it’s going to say; that’s our story and we’re sticking to it. But it’s actually going live about ten hours later. How come? Well, there’s a story in this Sunday slippage, but it’s not really …
You can almost see the pitch meeting as you watch the show… kind of like a scene from The Producers, but not funny: “Hey, let’s have a show about an Elite Super Ninja military special operations unit. Let’s hire a high-profile vet as a military advisor so we get all the details of uniforms and weapons right, …
Three Okhotnik-class Ships at Anchor, early 1900s. The ship was patrolling an anchorage in the Baltic Sea on 26 September, 1917. The Germans had been softening up the Russian forces in the area for what both sides expected would be an offensive against the Russian-occupied seacoast. German naval air forces, which had air superiority, conducted aerial bombing …
That’s an old myth: the Army makes men out of boys, or the Navy, or the Marines. It’s an enduring myth, that’s even cemented in recruiting posters. The present law is shall-issue in black-letter law, but has been converted to may-issue in some towns by a combination of tortured case law from anti-gun judges, and anti-gun policies of specific police chiefs (most of whom are elements of the toxic Red Tide, aka …
For the last week-plus, top instructor Kyle Defoor has been posting his “inventory” on his Instagram account, one a day. Our Traveling Reporter, a Defoor trainee and admirer, if not outright fan, has been linking them to us, one a day, and we’ve been waiting to assemble them and give you a single overview. Here …
Israeli Defense Forces CT Operation For the Israel Defense Forces, CT never stops. Here’s a story straight from the IDF, about the Lotar CT unit. Naturally, it’s a filtered recounting, but it’s interesting to see what friendly foreign forces are up to. (And, against the global jihad, everybody fighting it is a friendly foreign force). At 16:00, …
Ah, the glories of single motherhood. One of these ennobled single moms, annoyed that her three-year-old made a mess, smothered the child — with what object, it isn’t clear, but possibly a work uniform shirt. Mom? She was a “security guard.” Wow, we feel safer already. A Pittsburgh-area woman who wrote on Facebook that “Mommy loves you, …
