Well, it turns out that they’re out there, and there’s a nice concentration of them in Dayton, Ohio. (No wonder the Wright Brothers, upstanding Christian bishop’s sons that they were, made a getaway to North Carolina). For example, the anchors and news producers at WHIO-TV in Dayton are pro-rapist and anti-victim.They don’t care how many women get violently abused, as long as their beloved violent criminals don’t get hurt.
Kelli Wynn, of the Dayton Daily News, also thinks that rapists’ safety trumps rape victims’. She’s been eagerly promoting a rapist’s call for the disarmament of his victims.
Both of these news outlets have used a local career criminal and registered sex offender, the self-ordained “Rev.” Jerome McCorry, as a central character in “reports” that were essentially editorials for gun restrictions. Of course McCorry wants gun restrictions: otherwise, a guy like him just might get shot plying his trade.
In a less liberal locale, in fact, McCorry would still be in the jug for a mid-2002 forcible rape. The Buckeye Firearm Association, one of those indispenndable state organizations, has the goods.
In short, “Anti-Gun-Protestor Jerome McCorry” and “Rapist-and-Convicted-Felon Jerome McCorry” are one and the same person, and WHIO-TV and The Dayton Daily News have been treating this man as a legitimate voice of reason that should be considered in the debate over whether or not rape and other crime victims should be able to buy firearms in order to protect themselves from attack.
What’s even worse, this isn’t the first time. A search of the WHIO-TV website shows Jerome McCorry appearing in other articles advocating gun control over the past few years, and one article about an incident in which an Adam Project-sponsored rally turned violent.
And Jerome is an expert on what kind of guns can be used to protect someone, since he is the kind of guy that people buy guns to protect against.
But according to him, you don’t need an AK-47 or M16 to stop him from raping you. It’s just overkill. When Jerome bursts into your bedroom, you don’t need that much firepower, says the guy bursting into your bedroom.
…which was noted by Glenn again… which we think sorts out the CWCID’s.
After that, as entertaining as it might be for us to pile on, ir’s hard to see what we could add. Except to note that, when you read the slanted paragraphs of the morally leprous Kelli Wynn and watch the biased output of the soulless drones at WHIO-TV, it’s crystal clear that they’re rooting for the 6’1″. 260-lb violent criminal (McCorry) and not his 5’3″, 110-lb victim (whom they know of but leave not only without a voice or a name, but even without a mention. They actually put McCorry forward as if he were a real man of God, as if he were Martin Luther King.
We don’t recall reading the sex offender registry or violent crime rap sheet of Rev. King any time recently. Maybe because there never was one? But to the Dayton media, King and this guy McCorry who should still be in a cell where he can’t hurt women are the same thing.
Maybe they’re looking at the color of the skin instead of the content of the character.
As Chad Baus says:
Hmmmm……..Can anyone think of a reason why this man doesn’t want law-abiding citizens to have the ability to defend themselves with firearms?
Well, we can think of a couple for him. But what about Kelli Wynn? Why does she want women to be defenseless against monsters like McCorry?
Whilst we stooged around instead of promptly posting this, another blogger has discovered that several other Dayton media outlets have been cooperating with WHIO-TV and the Dayton Daily News in promoting career criminal, convicted felon, and registered violent sex offender Jerome McCorry. (Media and personalities also standing with the rapist include WKEF ABC-22’s anchorette Elyse Coulter and reporter Kavontae Smalls, and WRCT FOX-45, which seems to share some resources with WKEF).
WHIO in particular has doubled down on Twitter, attacking McCorry’s victims and other critics, and saying the career violent criminal’s message is one of “peace and harmony.” As in, give him what he wants, girl, and you won’t get hurt — and WHIO is cool with that.
